MINSK, 30 September (BelTA) – Belarus-Uzbekistan cooperation in mechanical engineering and machine tool industry holds a lot of promise, the press service of the Economy Ministry of Belarus told BelTA.
On 30 September Belarus’ Deputy Economy Minister Dmitry Yaroshevich met with Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction of Uzbekistan Bobur Abdinazarov.
The parties discussed ways to expand cooperation in the manufacturing sector, including in mechanical engineering and machine tool industry. According to them, the two countries have everything in place to set up joint ventures in Uzbekistan to produce spare parts and components.
The deputy ministers agreed to continue examining this matter within the framework of the Belarus- Uzbekistan intergovernmental commission on cooperation.
