Belarus Parliament lower chamber to open autumn session on 4 October

MINSK, 1 October (BelTA) – The opening of the sixth session of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus of the seventh convocation will take place on 4 October, BelTA learned from the press service of the House of Representatives.

The lawmakers are set to give the first reading to the bills On Amendments to the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus and On Amendments to the Laws on Wildlife and Security of Genetic Engineering Activities. The draft laws On Amendments to the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus, On Amendments to the Laws on Guaranteed Reimbursement of Bank Deposits, and On Tourism will be considered in the second reading.

The list of issues also provides for ratification of international treaties – On Ratification of the Protocol on Amendments to the Agreement on the Procedure for Protecting Confidential Information and the Responsibility for its Disclosure upon the Exercise by the Eurasian Economic Commission of Powers to Supervise Compliance with Common Competition Rules, On Suspension of the Agreement between the Republic of Belarus and the European Union on Readmission of Persons Arriving without Permission.

The MPs will also consider the documents On Decree No.3 of the President of the Republic of Belarus of 6 July 2021 “On Changing the Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus on the Placement (Distribution) of Advertising, On Decree No.4 of the President of the Republic of Belarus of 22 July 2021 “On Changing the Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus.
