Belarus’ agricultural export growth exceeds 10% in January-August

MINSK, 12 October (BelTA) – In January-August 2021 Belarus’ export of foodstuffs and agricultural raw materials approximated $4.1 billion, up 10.8% year-on-year, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Agriculture and Food Ministry.

“In January-August, Belarusian foodstuffs were shipped to 99 countries worldwide. Belarus increased food deliveries to practically all regions. Export to the CIS countries, including the Russian Federation, rose by 6.3%, to Asia and Oceania by 38.8%, the EU by 43%, America and the Caribbean by 61.7%, Africa by 28.6%. Food exports to the People’s Republic of China went up by 39.7%. Overall, deliveries to non-CIS countries increased by 41.7% compared with the same stretch a year ago,” the press service said.

Export of milk and dairy products rose by 6.4%, beef by 15.4%, sausage products by 31.2%, fish and fish products by 23%, eggs by 36.6%, potatoes by 18.4%, and rapeseed oil by 95.9%.
